The nursing team work rotationally between Loughborough and Hathern and have a wide range of skills and experience including specialist diabetic and respiratory interests.

The nurses, health care assistant and phlebotomists are available to take bloods & check blood pressure, offer travel advice, adult and child immunisation, dressings, removal of stitches, ear syringing, family planning review and cervical smears, etc. In addition, they can offer advice and deal with minor ailments, earache, sore throats, minor sprains & strains, bumps & bangs etc. They also run clinics for   chronic diseases, monitor blood pressure, health promotion and assist doctors in minor surgery.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
