Community Midwives

The midwives hold antenatal clinics at the surgeries and visit people at home. The midwives and the doctors offer full antenatal, postnatal home visiting and baby check-ups.

Community Nurses

The team consists of a Sister, Staff Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses. Their duties include visiting patients who need nursing input in their home giving practical assistance and professional advice. They may be contacted through the surgery.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
